About Us
Our Founder
ABC Pharmacy opened its first location in 1978, but our founder, Tony Chan has been in the business of helping others way before then. Born in Myanmar, Tony grew up in poverty as the only boy of 7 children. At the tender age of five, Tony’s father passed away, and he began collecting cans and selling newspapers on the streets to support his family.
His mother was adamant that her son would learn English. So when Tony was 17, with only $20 in his pocket, he immigrated to the US to seek a better life. Living as an immigrant back then was no easy task—he worked multiple jobs while also studying, but it’s during these formative years that Tony became the leader he is today.

Our Philosophy
Tony and his wife, Virginia, have given their blessings far beyond their circle through countless humanitarian efforts over the years.
Tony believes that education and health can empower anyone, especially for those born into poverty. As a long-time advocate for education and equality, Tony has given many scholarships, endowments, and charitable gifts to those in need. In his fight against poverty, Tony has made several philanthropic trips back to Myanmar to distribute medical supplies & daily essentials to those in need. Our pharmacies will always stand behind these principles.
Our Pharmacies
Our mission remains the same since day one: to be the friendly neighborhood pharmacy that treats you like family.
We are still your same old family-owned business. But ABC Pharmacy is now an ever-growing family, embracing technology, and dedicated to empowering our communities and neighborhoods.
